About Monster
Monster was founded in 1979 by Noel Lee, a mechanical engineer and musician who believed cables were as vital to sound as any speaker or amplifier. From his San Francisco garage, Noel created the world’s first high-performance speaker cable, transforming the way people experienced music. What began as a one-man experiment grew into a global brand, known for redefining audio fidelity and setting new standards in performance.
Monster quickly made waves at CES with immersive booths and legendary retailer concerts featuring artists like Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys. Over the years, Monster expanded into video, power solutions, HDMI, and consumer electronics, pioneering innovations like Clean Power technology and Fireproof MOV surge protection.
Through iconic partnerships, most famously with Beats by Dr. Dre, Monster helped create cultural milestones that blended technology with music. Today, through its M4.0 licensing model, Monster continues to evolve across new markets and product categories, staying true to Noel’s founding vision: that music should be experienced exactly as the artist intended.
